I'm fine with alcohol killing me slowly.

How about we talk about all the "preventive medicine" drugs where doctors ignore or severely downplay the risks, like BP meds?

On average, 33 people need to be treated for 5 years (that's 65,000 doses) to prevent one cardiac event... That doesn't seem very effective.

Oh, and along the way, there will be 3/4 of a kidney failure in that group, some induced arrhythmias, lots of disrupted sleep, electrolyte imbalance, instances of ortho static hypotension, etc, etc.

The medical community is finally starting to recognize the major impact of sleep disruption on cardiovascular health, so...
