My dog does this. She knows that I can control the temperature inside. She knows I can control the wind (ceiling fan). She knows I can summon rain in some instances (showers).
Sometimes when it rains she acts like she wants a walk and we get suited up and I open the door and she stands there at the threshold and looks at me like I am dumb because I won't shut the rain down so we can walk.
