I bet people in the Midwest would love to vote for outsiders that are being rejected by their party establishment.

Perhaps. But without money to run ads, without money to pay staffers, they're going to have a hard time getting anyone in their district to even know who they are.

There's other places to get money than the Ohio Democratic Party.

In fact, "the establishment doesn't want us to win" is a great fundraising pitch.
