Why not just use your subscriptions? People use all and then act all entitled when they have to deal with everything. It's weird.
Nobody is acting entitled. Maybe with small size of lemmy, opting out is better than subscribing to individual communities?
bingo.
not everyone wants to live in an echo chamber. but we also don't want to be blasted in the face with crazy people who tell us to kill ourselves because we own a car.
I tried that in the past, removed a lot of fun communities that had the problem i've described in the post - turns out my subscritptions feed became a lot emptier and the problem only spread to the ones i stayed on.
Maybe you just don't want to admit you are becoming more conservative while everyone else moves on to more logical perspectives?
maybe user just wants to use the internet without random strangers trying to constantly put arbitrary labels on them and using such labels as justification for harassment?
it's almost as if other people use the internet in other ways than you do. not everyone is here to push an agenda or play politics police.
