badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a !the_dunk_tank@hexbear.net alternative. This is not a !memes@hexbear.net alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

I think ten isn't that hard depending on word count, your average novel being around 300-400 pages.

For instance I read the black company series and a few other novels in under a month but then I slow down on more dense books or books that can be more a challenge for my dyslexia. Energy levels and setting time aside to read factors in too

Its not "hard" but I wouldnt enjoy reading 10 average page count (even if good) books in a month. I think at least I wouldnt enjoy it.

Like at most I usually read 2 books a month cause I take breaks between reading. If I really wanted I could do 4 ( 1 per week)

10 would be totally possible but not "fun" I imagine.

At least for me. Im sure there are people who read 10 or more books a month but Im not such an avid reader.

I find it fun to read a good book or get into a series. That's not to say it can't be a slog getting through a book you don't enjoy for whatever reason.

Really depends on how much enjoyment you get out of the things you read. I vary my reading between various genres and fiction/non fiction. Some theory or history can vary in density which can be good to mix up with some fun stuff as a palate cleanser. I can go through periods of not reading for playing the odd game. It can vary.

Lemme phrase it this way. I could probably do it if it’s a series I REALLY enjoy, but my enjoyment level usually goes up and down with books. So, say, after book 4, I’d probably take a two-week break or something (I assume, at least).

OK then, since you’re a nerd and read a lot (unlike me, who is a dumb brute :^)

Gimme some books that kept you going ? That you thought were really enthralling.
