I think that if we want to be free from google and apple duopoly on mobile we need to embrace linux phones. It is the only solution. Google is trying to close the golden cage slowly and we need to escape on other operating system also on mobile. We re only delay a problem. We need phone preinstalled with linux for mass adoption. We need more apps for linux phones and more userbase.

What device you using it on? My Pixel 4a is not supported very well (yeah, I know I should contribute, but I really don't have the time right now), and the PinePhone is well... the PinePhone.
