Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Its time to let go of Ubuntu and Manjaro as meme distros. Omarchy is the new meme.
Honestly it's not even worth ridiculing, just forget it already
Easier than said, if it gets this much attention, recommendation and money support. We should not ignore it, but tell people (like the linked post). So they can make an informed decision.
Why is Ubuntu a meme distro?
iusearchbtw
I use the word "meme" very lightly here, which is a mixture of hate, second-hand embarrassment, making fun of the distro and its users and so on. For the issues it had in the past and being no longer trustworthy for many. Also people meme about Ubuntu for the Snaps, and the focus on Rust (I personally like Rust...), being best friend with Microsoft and so on.
