People treat you like you said the worst thing ever but you actually just asked "Are you sure you're bi? You've never been with a woman yet you might want to experiment more with your sexuality" to a man that recently started to have doubts of being bi in his 30's.

I got jumped by different people calling me biphobic and toxic and what not. And I'm sorry but I congratulate you if that question seems like the worst you've ever seen in your life.

I envy the privilege of having such an easy life that such a trivial thing sounds like oppression to you.

This is only on the internet tho, in real life this type of situation would never happen, normally people have too much going on to be offended by bullshit

I mean, if they were questioning their sexuality, then obviously they're not sure. So your question was redundant and out of place to say the least.

Also, as already said in this thread, people don't generally challenge heterosexuals regarding their actual experiences. So challenging a bisexual/homosexual person about how they feel regarding their sexuality based on their actual experience with other partners does indeed feel like an invalidation and therefore disrespectful.

And at last, on the internet, for many different reasons, it's quite normal that a debate becomes hyperbolic. But dismissing the situation telling people they're oversensitive and privileged because of your own lack of tact to deal with the situation doesn't help your case either.

Well, people don't challenge heterosexuals because usually heterosexuals don't find out they're straight when they're in their 30's.

And I do dismiss it because no one in real life becomes so affected about that bullcrap. It's a very simple question as a trans person I've been asked worse and I'm not going to jump at someone's throat for their ignorance on a topic.
