Unsurprisingly, people who have enough money to do literally anything they want do not evaluate risk the same way as the rest of us. Just another sign that wealth hoarding is a mental illness, imo.

All things being equal, I agree, but the gallows have historical notions of punching down, with connections with state oppression, and hanging with lynching; whereas the guillotine invokes class struggle and punching up.
