Ukraine is indeed doing well. But russia is not a superpower, never was. There was a time when the Soviet Union was a superpower, for a while. But that was in the 1960s, maybe a bit in the 1970s.

I like to believe there was a transitionary period where Russia was a super power. Maybe its my failing memory but, they were a near peer to the united states not too long ago. Now the united states isn't even a super power so theres that.

Alls I'm saying is times are changing and nations can make the wrong decision.

russia at its peak was comparable to Italy by their GDP, militarily they have always had a lot of equipment and men but they were never anything more than a regional power.

Yeah, times are changing and russia has been making all the wrong decisions.
