I cannot believe you're making me defend Malcolm Roberts 😡
He didn't say capitalism is perfect, he said shoppers are getting a taste of what it's like in a socialist country, this is a throw back to the USSR and its empty supermarkets:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8LtQhIQ2AE
And the President of the USSR's visit to an ordinary shop in America:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_visit_by_Boris_Yeltsin_to_the_United_States#Grocery_store_visit_in_Houston
So Roberts is saying our country will have empty supermarket shelves all the time if we go full socialist/communist, therefore capitalism > socialism/communism, which is not at all a deep a point, it's literally surface tier and yet you guys somehow still messed it up
Thanks again for making me defend professional fuckwit Malcolm Roberts 😡
Whats being mocked here is the same conclusion you're reaching though, “socialism is when empty shelves.”
Then I guess it's done in a bad way, saying socialism/communism sucks does not imply capitalism is perfect
It does sound suspiciously like "stop complaining, it could be worse", though.
