An investigation by Gamers Nexus found LG smart TVs sweep local networks to map phones and nearby devices. Tests also showed the sets can capture microphone audio with the screen off โ€” they then upload data once reconnected to the internet.

Yea I could see them using Amazon sidewalk or xfinity open access points to get around the no connection thing. But that should be easily discovered if they do.
