Yeah, they signed a deal for $2b guaranteed (as in, even if the show got cancelled tomorrow, they'd still get paid in full) and probably with some great if not total protections against censorship.
It's the kind of deal that no sane TV exec would agree to (especially with the likes of Parker & Stone), but I guess the execs just wanted the show THAT much.
And they're taking great advantage of those loose if even existent reins! ✊🏻😄
