Agreed, with the caveat that the Zack Snyder DC films were genuine trash. Not even on a comic book reader and fan level, just on a Zack Snyder level, we need to stop letting that asshat write and make movies.
I really liked Watchmen (perhaps my favourite superhero/comic book movie still) and 300 was very alright, I guess some executives felt the same way... but yeah, everything else he's touched is varying degrees of shit, he's the anti Midas. 🥲
I’m not a fan of Watchmen in general, because I’m also just not a fan of Alan Moore in general, but they are the kind of people who work well together, so I’m willing give it to him, Zack Snyder is the guy for those movies. Same goes for Miller. He could also do a good job with the works of Garth Ennis. Regardless of my personal feelings on all of those folks.
Edit: Also, just like what you like and enjoy it, I have my opinions, but don’t let some douchebag on the internet make you question what you like. The heart wants what the heart wants. (With caveats, nothing is universal.)
That edit is very wholesome but entirely unnecessary, lol. Maybe I AM a simpleton who enjoys shallow things, who knows? But what I do know is that it is even more pathetic to be both a simpleton AND a coward who can't accept it. And I don't know much about comics in general but I'll take your word for it! 😅
