Are you talking C or F? Im pretty sure a 40 F degree temp swing happens every year in Minnesota, probably multiple times. The record in the us is 104 F in a single day, in Montana.
Yeah, I think the record where I'm from was somewhere in the neighborhood of 65 to 70 degrees in one day. And I spent two years in Minnesota and there weren't a lot of days where we had that were 40 degrees swing where it went from near freezing to 80s or 90s during the day while I was there at least.
