I agree. The other thing is that China has are 25, 15, 10 and 5 year policy plans and broadly sticks to them. Plus they have backup plans for their backup plans.
Unlike most western governments that are being changed every few years - if they last that long - looking at you Holland. That means there is little to no continuity because the new government will have different plans, policies and priorities. For example look at America's infrastructure compared to China's. America's infrastructure is shambolic. Biden tried with his infrastructure bill, but that was killed like the first week that orange monstrosity took office.
Exactly. And every politician seems to get elected by trashing the other guy, which means undoing every plan they put in place the second they take office.
Honestly that's something I strongly fault Obama for- he had a chance, he was elected on a mandate. But he refused to turn the screws his first term, didn't really fight for things the way GOP does.
