Yeah, some anime are now ~~400~~ 1 GB per episode. That's what bad encoding settings do to you.
Edit: mind fart. Some Fate series are 1.2 GB per episode. 400 MB is high-ish, ~300 MB in mpeg, ~120 MB in avif webm.
Also a lot higher resolution and bitrate... And not to speak of all the advanced in compression since divx!
Back in time man. 2GB drives were monsters, screens were all 1024x768
