As long as he doesn't change his stance on the genocide in Gaza, it shouldn't significantly hurt his chances. This is for the old liberals afraid to vote for a 'radical' candidate.
I'm pretty sure it's Harris preparing for her 2028 run by attaching herself to a big name this cycle. But sure, we can say she's helping him out.
Two things can be true at once. I don't think any Leftist is naive enough to think she is doing this out of the kindness of her heart.
I don't care if she wants to rup for VP again. I'm going to be pissed if she tries for president again though
Perhaps throw here a bone AOC for pres, Kama for VP. However, I would rather it be AOC for pres and Walz for VP. He has more character and will.
Walz is done in national politics. Guy is a broken reed.
She already is. She's running for president as we speak. She's probably doing it smarter than anyone else's actually. Cuz she's out there pounding pavement. I don't think it's going to work cuz you know she's still her. But she's going to be far ahead of the pack come this time next year.
This - and thank you.
I'm sorry wut?
You're rationale bere is that old liberals are afraid to vote for abdul because he's a middle eastern Democratic but they're likely to be swayed by an east-asian woman ... ... ........... What the fuck intersection of what crazy ass vendiagram do you think old liberals represent?
You are aware that race is not the deciding factor in MOST people's voting decisions who are center-left... Right?
There have been a ton of mailers and TV ads making Abdul out to be scary and radical. The Ex-Vice President giving him her endorcement softens those attack ads.
So wait your trying to say old liberals are smart enough to not be concerned with race baiting but can't think critically about un founded propaganda?
Again I ask you, what wierd ass demographic are you basing your coment on because it seems apropros of nothing founded in reality.
Are you trying to say there are no voters between pure racists and informed people who are fully invested in the US political scene?
I'm trying to say it's really fucking weird to think that liberals who aren't dumb enough to fall for sexism ( kamala voters) aren't HIGHLY unlikely to fall for racism (your so called 'old' liberals who need kamala's endorsement to be accepting of abdul).
In so many words I'm saying your premise is fundamentally flawed and without merit.
There are more areas, other than social issues, that he is being attacked in.
Some people are still scared of the socialism/communism attack angle, which is a higher likelihood if they are from an older generation that was heavily exposed to that propaganda.
Kamala provides an 'establishment' backing that makes Abdul's platform more acceptable/safer to people who do hold those views.
