Yeah, basically all dancey electronic music was invented in the eighties-nineties, little remained to discover. Idm and breakcore already came about with the crazy structures. Dubstep is the one major missing link, but it's pretty straightforward evolution from dnb.
Fun fact: Scorn's ‘Greetings from Birmingham’ came out in 2000 (made by former Napalm Death drummer Mick Harris), but somehow the dubstep genre got entirely hijacked by the London people later on.
Naw, he'd play something more incomprehesible to the 90s, like skrillex or the later evolutions of the genre.
Opens with Marty mumble rapping in fron of a giant speaker that explodes.
Not quite the same timeframe, but that clip of the surviving members of The Doors listening to Skrillex is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.
