If you buy a refrigerator that needs an internet connection, you deserve this tbh
It's a box that makes stuff cold for ffs ain't no damn 1s or 0s required
There is no consumer product that needs AI except for maybe a note taker or conversation summarizer. I want my life to have less screens, not more. And I'm for god damn sure trying to create a screen free house for my kids.

It's nice to be able to set the degrees in Celsius.
That does requires 1s and 0s. But it doesn't need an internet connection.
I mean, we had analog thermometers for a loooong time
Old fridges didn't use thermostats. You just set between "min" and "max" and the temp inside the fridge would vary depending on the temp outside the fridge.
Digital fridges with thermostats to maintain a specific temp are definitely an improvement.
None of that requires AI or Internet. But it does require 1s and 0s.
