A Fediverse community for open-ended, thought provoking questions

Rules: (interactive)

1) Be nice and; have funDoxxing, trolling, sealioning, racism, toxicity and dog-whistling are not welcomed in AskLemmy. Remember what your mother said: if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. In addition, the site-wide Lemmy.world terms of service also apply here. Please familiarize yourself with them

2) All posts must end with a '?'This is sort of like Jeopardy. Please phrase all post titles in the form of a proper question ending with ?

3) No spamPlease do not flood the community with nonsense. Actual suspected spammers will be banned on site. No astroturfing.

4) NSFW is okay, within reasonJust remember to tag posts with either a content warning or a [NSFW] tag. Overtly sexual posts are not allowed, please direct them to either !asklemmyafterdark@lemmy.world or !asklemmynsfw@lemmynsfw.com. NSFW comments should be restricted to posts tagged [NSFW].

5) This is not a support community.
It is not a place for 'how do I?', type questions. If you have any questions regarding the site itself or would like to report a community, please direct them to Lemmy.world Support or email info@lemmy.world. For other questions check our partnered communities list, or use the search function.

6) No US Politics.
Please don't post about current US Politics. If you need to do this, try !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world or !uspolitics@lemmy.world

7) No Hit-and-Run questions.
Please don't delete your post for no apparent reason. If you plan on deleting a question later, say so in the post, or if you feel that you have a good reason to remove it, message a mod beforehand. It's not fair to the ones who took their time to answer, and it's not in the spirit of the community.

8) No Bots.
Posts or comments from bots, LLM's, AIs, Neural Networks, Transformers, or Marvin the Paranoid Android are not welcome in AskLemmy. Real humans only please.

Reminder: The terms of service apply here too.

Like the Romans used to drink from lead cups. Something like that.

(it appears that the moderator is removing any replies with which he disagrees. It might be a piefed issue. But all the removed replies are top level and upopular. Stranger coincidences have happened I suppose.)

Not eating seasonally fresh vegetables and fruit goes along with that.

I am omnivore but agree with this. Meat is for some meals, you don't need it every day, certainly not every meal, that can't be good for you. So many other things to eat with different nutrients.

Say it louder for the people in the back!

As a society we are eating the least amount of meat ever in human history, therefore we are obviously the most healthy humans in history

[–] dawcas@scribe.disroot.org 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Do you have any proof of that? Because we produce and consume more meat every year breaking records and destroying the environment to achieve it.

There are several studies that proof seed oil is safe, someone linked a pair up in the thread. This person don’t want to listen to anything that says they are wrong and of course they have no proof to back their claims.

Your already insulting me, and my due diligence, why do you expect me to spend time satisfying your curiosity with links?

The sky is coloured a pink-black checkerboard pattern. Don't believe me? Too bad, I don't like you so I won't cite sources.

Maaaan. If you get defensive about politely being asked to provide evidence, you either know you have zero evidence, or you just want to feel smug without contributing.
