I had cxl a few years back, his case sounds a lot more manageable. Cxl doesn't typically improve vision, it just prevents it from getting worse.
I'm in Canada, but it was also $$$ when I was in the US. For some fucking reason it's specifically excluded from the assistive devices coverage here. My ophto has been fighting them for ages
CXL stands for cornea cross-linking, so you have done it already. Then nevermind what I said. Good luck with your struggles in the future!
