he is made to Kinda look like thor tp appeal to germanic saxon cultures, just like christmas and easter and everything are adaptations of eradicated germanic rites
Jokes aside, he seems to look like whatever people in the area look like. I suppose it's much easier to worship someone who looks like your own ethnicity.
