One time in fourth grade, we had a new substitute that had a system for how mad she was. Lik, y'know. She came in as a teddy bear, she said. The more mad she got, she went up in bears. So over the course of the day, she gradually went up her scale because we were rowdy, I guess, however this went down, this was a million years ago, but she became a koala then brown then black. This spurred a discussion about how black bears are usually smaller and more docile, leading to a debate, which was a mistake, questioning this woman's bear knowledge. Thus, she reached her grizzly state and slammed a textbook on the overhead projector, breaking it. We never had that substitute teacher again, but in fifth grade we got this regular sub that had alligators.
