From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

"Idealism is not relevant to this discussion"
proceeds to use purely idealist arguments
You clearly wouldn't know an ideal if you walked into one.
Set your bar a little higher.
You should maybe learn the meaning of words before trying to use them, idealism does not mean "having ideals". Idealism is the counterpart to materialism, and has been explained to you in another comment. But sure, that's one way to respond, I guess.
"You should maybe learn the meaning of words before trying to use them"
ironic, but no one expects logic, or honesty from aiholes
I mean the distinction is something you learn in secondary school usually, I really can't help you there, but you can keep throwing your strange little hissy fit if you want.
