Americans were all full-blown anarchists during covid and swore up and down covid is worth it for them to mindlessly consoom! They think the same thing over climate change.

Not anarchists, but ANCAPS, literally saying fuck you to the government trying to shield them so they could go buy their treats.
It's cuz they knew violating Covid rules probably wouldn't incite direct police violence (if they're white). Storming a data center would likely result in you at least getting pepper sprayed.
