My parents in their 30s This would make a lovely second home for our family to winter in. Hopefully the garage can fit both our cars, snowmobile and ski equipment.

Me in my 30s I'll never financially recover from this purchase.

Oh, I know this game. I'm very familiar with these tactics.

  1. First, pressure community moderators into banning frequent posters.
  2. If that fails, push for an instance-level ban.
  3. If that doesn't work, complain to the receiving instances and try to get them to ban those accounts.
  4. And when people move to a separate instance, suddenly the demand becomes defederation.

The goalposts just keep moving. It's never really about finding a solution. It's about getting rid of people who post content.

Who benefits - oh ya definitely reddit.

I've seen these tactics before, and I'm not falling for them.

It’s to make it easy for people to view organic lemmy content instead of the shit you spread.

And the people that enjoy mindlessly upvoting reposted reddit content can do it too.

Everyone wins.
