As someone who actually makes the food I think drivers shouln't get tips but instead should be paid more. They should also have full vehicle maintenance covered while driving for work too. The whole delivery service thing is a grift that is eroding the resturaunt industry hard. If it wasn't for VC money it wouldn't even be feasable. Things will need to change soon
Tipping culture is bullshit anyway. If you run a business where you can't afford to pay your employees enough without going out of business, then your business shouldn't exist.
I think all tipped staff should instead be paid livable wage, but still be allowed to collect tips. Tipping should be something you do to flirt with the waitress or reward a team that did a really outstanding job
Yeah.... Maybe not the flirting part. Otherwise agreed.
