Politically I fit into .ml but they do not tolerate dissent. I was temporarily banned for saying it's in poor taste to celebrate the deaths of US soliders. I get it, anti-imperialism. I'm anti-imperialist too, but it seems like the place is full of angsty edgy teenagers trying to outdo each other. It's not a good look when people are watching your instance specifically to flag shit like that to show how crazy .ml is.
It's good there are less murderers of black/brown innocent people worldwide. Unless one sees those black/brown as lesser people. If you feel patriotic about the US then you don't belong here
Ffs here we go. I'm not patriotic but it's a really bad PR move to broadcast that opinion online. You're not going to win hearts and minds of the opposition with that.
Also, not wanting to celebrate deaths of soliders does not equal patriotism. Wtf?
what the fuck is this mentality
Okay if you're not going to sway hearts and minds then what's your plan?
I'm not an organization or a figurehead or a celebrity or a politician or a dog
Then why have political opinions at all?
How is having a political opinion an act of PR?
The conscription of those murderers wasn't forced, they signed for killing poor innocent people. Liberals, ffs.
You think so? I guess you're right, I'm not forced to participate in this vile capitalist system because I can live under a bridge.
The whole fucking system in rural America all but coerces their enlistment.
You're putting some lives above others, in this case the lives consciously doing the path of mass murderers.
Not celebrating the death of pawns does not mean I condone what those pawns are doing. I'm not putting their lives above the people they're killing. You're making a lot of assumptions about me if you came to that conclusion.
I'm not celebrating the deaths of working class people who have been coerced/manipulated into carrying out the imperialists' and capitalists' objectives. Am I sad when they get killed? Perhaps a bit. They shouldn't be where they are and doing what they're doing (They probably didn't even think they'd see combat when they enlisted, nor have they considered what role the US military actually plays in the world). Am I enraged when brown people are killed for absurd reasons? Yes, extremely. It's disgusting that is allowed to happen.
So yes, when an American solider dies, it's still a tragedy, and I'm not going to celebrate that (especially when there's some freaks in .world looking for bad .ml behavior to put on display).
Anglos patting other Anglos on the back as always. π
When my child's school enrolled them in rotc with neither my knowledge nor permission, I raised immortal hell and made them take them right TF out and I was a liberal, then.
Yeah I would do the same. Were you the only parent to do that?
What are you running for office? It's morally consistent, lol.
Tell the other instances they were Russian soldiers, they'll get over it
Yeah I know, that's gross too
I respect your consistency
Would you celebrate the deaths of Nazi soldiers in WWII?
Generally I would not, however I would make exceptions for those that enjoyed cruelty.
Well..
