In my company some of the top users spend over $3000/m. $29 is maybe 30 mins - 1 hour continuous running for a *medium" sized model like Sonnet. Not sure about cheaper models.

I spent $200 in one session the other day, watching the clanker design, implement, and review the change. Still have no idea what I did but my name is on the commit

I've no idea how to even see that. There's a little bar on the settings page on the Claude site that shows a percentage of usage, but I've genuinely no idea how much it's costing - and since I'm looking for an exit strategy I also don't really care. My company made it abundantly clear that they wished to fuck me non-consensually in the arse back in May and I'm done with it at this point.

Past month I've been "working" on a project I have zero care for, just burning Claude credits chewing through one stupid idea after another and signing off on it. No one is asking me to show anything for it, no one is checking in on anything. There's a general apathy about everything, covered up with a typical corporate enthusiasm.

It's all so fake and disgusting, lmao.

I have a menu bar plugin that shows it, don't remember where I got it?

I hate it of course. I need to find an exit strategy

Don't pay the bill. They'll force you to quit before long.

Fair point, but not any less fulfilling than my day job already was, arguably maybe a little more fun to be spending the company's money on nonsense. My job pays my bills very adequately, that's normally the only fulfilling thing about it.

Interesting. Yeah, me and my coworkers spend about $1000 per month—so far. The bill keeps going up. One AI workshop thing they made us do spent $100 just in 1 session.
