John is a true liberal, the sort the United States doesn't really have any more. He has perfectly fine analysis of the working conditions inside the imperial core. And he'll take that analysis to Bezos' face and tell him, you're risking a proletarian uprising, idiot.
He doesn't talk about international conditions or US foreign policy much. When he does, its coin-flip of "war in general bad, this war specifically good-ish" or "HOO-RA! SEMPER FI!"
