Sorry, I can't be optimist anymore. Been laid off again, 3 days after my GF lost her job too. I have a mortgage and we have 2 teenagers about to go to college. That job I was laid off from took me 9 months to find, and after only 4 months they closed the department. Meanwhile everything gets more expensive. I'm at the end of my rope.
I'm sorry to hear that. Hang in there man, it's supposed to get better.

Got any sales skills? I've got tech skills, but I'd fail to sell a water bottle in a desert. ๐
I can sell the hell out of products I believe in - it wasn't uncommon for me to sell a $600 frame job to a client who walked in expecting to pay $100, but if I don't care about the product I just stare blankly and the times I tried to pretend I failed miserably ๐ I can organize employee work flow pretty well too. I've also invented a few things I can't afford to patent.
What type of tech stuff do you like to do?
We need more ppl, but this is going to get buried and idk how to make an instance (if that's the right word) so ppl can post their skills and we can talk with them
