It's getting harder to even find shit worth pirating so... Going outside?
You can branch out, that should be impossible unless you watch stuff 24/7 and are 40+, use an app like trakt to get shown more stuff you typically don't see. If you use something like stremio, the default view barely shows different content.
I mostly go off recommendations from friends or from reading about stuff online or YouTube shorts and then torrent whatever sounds interesting. The quality of what's getting put out has just gone to shit with a lot of it just being derivative of things that have come before if not just straight remakes or if it is something new the writing is crappy.
I have an infinite backlog, tons of great stuff out there, a lot of great stuff just never got popular enough to be recommended or stopped being talked about once it finished. I recommend stremio + torbox or some other debrid service, you'll see a lot more stuff that isn't popular currently (unlike browsing torrents and yt channels) and it'll all load quickly since it's most likely cached already.
Can't trust reviews, I've seen some 3/10 shows/movies I loved, some 10/10 ones I hated, from critics who I thought had the same taste as me.
There's tons of old stuff that's good. Newer shit coming out is far more misses than hits. I don't think I've watched a new movie since Godzilla Minus One that actually blew me away,
Forcing me to relearn how to fucking read. Hate it.
Going outside is nice.
I picked up gaming again and started to actually play games I bought. Psychonauts is amazing.
I chose TTRPGs. Outside is still way too scare and full of way too many parking lots
No idea how many movies or TV shows you consume, but there's enough unseen by me to last me a decade as is.
Wait until they make a subscription for that too.
