Or just search for one of the alternatives like I did that didn't require signing up. Why give the one that does publicity?

the link i sent you is an archive link that does not require signing up. That is the point I was trying to get across. They OP posted the original source for the article, and then gave us a way to view it with the link in the body text of the post.

Because 404 media does good journalism and they have to make money somehow. Better subscription than you being the product.
