My gut feeling is not here. It sounds to me like you need specific local legal advice. Search for a local tenant organisation or union, if such a thing exists where you live. They may offer free consultation. If not that, you somehow need to find or befriend a lawyer.
Are other parties in your building also negatively affected? Start reaching out to other tenants who feel the same way.
What is that even called tho? Like i know sometimes companies rent out store/office space or whatever in those big skyscrapers but it seems crazy they can add more noise to an already unsound proof
What state or province are you in? Where I am itβs called the Office of Residential Tenancies. Your specific rights as a renter will be laid out by your local organization, and may have something about right to quiet enjoyment or some such. But in apartment living you are probably only going to be able to push back against noise during quiet hours. In my city that is 10pm-7am but youβll have to check your bylaws.
But they cant be turning this into additional office/retail space, thats bullcrap. They should throw in a PlayLand really just to stick it to me. It basically already is but theres further monetization yet afoot at this rate, I fear
They're just gonna keep fucking me till I snap
Can I ask more generally what you would consider this a matter of, like is it peaceful enjoyment violation thru add-on commercial activity or something (no idea if thats a thing, I just dont even know what to classify it as beyond what its infringing on that I'm being affected by)
Its not you or anything but ive shared so much inadvisable stuff here, Im wary of narrowing it down more if that makes sense. Like what is it they're even doing that courts/laws have probably considered policy pertaining to?
No idea without knowing where you are
