Great, so what I'm I switching to? Tuta? Running out of options tbh
mailbox is a nice option, too.
If you don't require your email to be encrypted (since that ends once you send something) I switched to Fastmail last year for email, calendar, and contacts and it's been night and day with how well it works with third party options.
I've been pretty content with Fastmail. I use DAV5x to sync calendar, contacts, and tasks to the system data store and is available just if it was coming from the Google services. I can even setup the DAV5x source as an account in the Google Contacts and Calendar apps. I wish Fastmail would have separate apps instead of the single integrated one, though. And the calendar could stand to gain Maps integration. And I've replaced Google Tasks with Tasks.org.
Same with using Dav5x and tasks.org through Fastmail. And configuring the MX records was dead simple. In general it's been really convenient
Proton is still the best product. No reason to move today
Article was full of reasons to move.
It's just one person.
The boards response may be a reason to move, or stay.
It is in fact not just one person. If you'd read the article, you might know that. But, you are right about the board. They may shake up the leadership, which I sincerely hope they do.
I got as far as the pay wall let me (surprisingly far).
It was just everyone complaining about Andy. Who else were they complaining about?
The manifesto, which is the first word in the article title, was written and sent out by the CTO, Butler. So he is clearly a big part of the leadership problem as well. And if the board continues to abide this, then they are also part of the problem, arguably already are.
Well I can't cos I'm on subscription. Sick of hearing about this absolute melt tho.
