It is kind of annoying, but in my experience not more annoying than dealing with wires. My current wireless pair have been the longest surviving earphones I've ever owned by a significant margin because it has no thin wires to weaken and break after so many repeated tangles and wraps and bends and twists and tugs. It is one very major weakness removed. Also no more cable noise, no more having to cable manage your chest to stop the wire from smacking against your torso and making that annoying thumping sound you hear deep in your ear hole. Sure batteries are a weakness in themselves but I honestly will take the inconvenience of charging them once a week or so over dealing with goddamn wires. That's a good deal.

Speaking for "away" use though. Earphones that I take and wear outside. At home it's a whole other story.
