I personally couldn't give less of a fuck if my phone was waterproof. That's literally never been a problem for me. The only time it would have been I had it in a dry box so it was fine. I use my aux jack every day. Thankfully Motorola still had an option when I replaced my last phone. Although I did have to give up having a removable battery and the IR blaster(which actually would have been handy a couple weeks ago).
