is this just them admitting to it publicly? because this feels like it's been the case for a few years, at least. i rarely even look at it anymore. the api/3rd party app shut off was pretty much it for me, so i nuked my account and overwrote my posts with garbage text. i noticed how incessantly it kept trying to force a login. also, it's been very militant about connecting through VPN ips.
reddit is gonna be for tech-incurious, covid-denying genXers the way facebook steadily became the social media parking lot for lead poisoned boomers.
