what does this accomplish? does not compute.
If enough citizens revolt and take out a shit load of flock cameras while masked to avoid being identified, at the very least it will cost someone a bunch of money. It could be a catalyst for more action. Some cities have cancelled their contracts, this could lead to more of that if there's enough outrage.

Privacy, Eeyore.
Nothing, of course. We are going to continue to be tracked and spied upon regardless. Anyone with a phone in their pocket is already being spied upon 24/7. So-called smart devices and security cameras have also been recording us for years. Even our TV sets are now recording audio.
But having a rallying cry is enough for some people who want to rage and break things to not feel as bad about committing crimes. Anything to avoid that cognitive dissonance. Same group of criminal losers that have been calling for political assassinations and that riot and destroy people's property and businesses. There's always an excuse, but they just want to kill and steal. Not actually to solve anything, just to satisfy themselves.
We might stop the surveillance state somehow, but not by following childish suggestions like OP's that are nothing but pretext.
"Things can't be perfect so why bother"
Fuck off with this pathetic doomerist mindset. Things don't get better if you don't fucking try.
Won't somebody think of the property!
I guess actively fighting back against the surveillance state by destroying the cameras that are spying on us is a childish suggestion for some reason? What would you propose, then?
Well you could talk at town hall to everyone that's being paid by flock to ignore you and push the cameras through anyways. Or you could write a letter to your representatives who probibly won't even see it
