So what's gonna replace Reddit? Cause it won't be Lemmy unfortunately
The only interaction I've ever had with mods on Lemmy has been every bit as awful as Reddit. People who want to become mods are usually not competent or well-adjusted.
It’s definitely an alternative thing to volunteer your time on. I’m not throwing shade at any decent mods, but they are far and few between and it doesn’t take much imagination to see the sort of people and the sort of personalities that are going to be attracted to such a thing. Like who the fuck normal, is going to volunteer their time, for a billion dollar corporation? No one normal is the answer, Alex.
I know this is rich given that I'm on Lemmy, but there shouldn't be a replacement for Reddit. Social media is harmful to it's users. Corporate social media is the worst, but the alternatives, all of them, are still quite terrible for your mental health.
The replacement to Reddit is touching grass.
