Hot take: Sam altman doesnt know anything about pcs and doesnt own one. he is a technophobic idiot that somehow talked a softbrain into giving him his position.
Now drunk on power he lost control of his mouth and doesnt know it from his asshole
OR
He is still a technophobe and also a puppet idiot and pissed off an internal tech. tech person got their revenge by feeding him this line. tech person really wants him fired.
I can go deeper: the others around sam altman hate him also and appreciate tech person for giving them a perfect reason for sam's oust. Shortly after this Sam gets voted out for 'insert conflict of interest reason'
