it's really funny how different this story reads by the developers than by 404 Media. The PR on the story got traction before they could do anything about it. It seems like no one knows where the quote came from and we now have a flock of whistleblowers saying they don't recognize any of this. No sources, just a hivemind collectively referencing the same sourceless allegations. Someone successfully brought down Proton.
I don't pay for Proton services, so I don't really have any say, I just want to know what's true here.
Do you have any sources for what you're seeing? 404 has a pretty good track record.
Do I have sources for something that didn't happen? No, proving a negative is impossible.
Buy hey, I am all for everyone making their own decision and giving their money to corporations based on their own morality, not mine. I don't pay for their services, so it is easy for me to underplay this.
Gotcha, no one claimed it didn't happen! (No sources).
