I like this font. AI didn't need to make it, but it having made it should not effect your opinion of the quality of the end result.
I swear if AI cured cancer some of y'all would rather let patients die :/
It is curing diseases and these people just handwave it away as "that's not the ai I'm talking about."

I never said AI was actually useful or anything, I said y'all anti AI people can be very annoying and it literally makes me trust your arguements less because you all seem irrationally moralizing about it.
I'm not even for AI, just not so radically passionate about hating something that isn't even the worst thing we have manufactured as a species.
besides war and genocide, name one thing in the last century possibly worse than AI..
the power hungry, water wasting, ecosystem fucking, environment polluting idea that is making the rich richer and the people using it dumber by the day.
only thing I can think of is short brainrot like 30 sec reels and influencers that are poisoning an entire generation.
Nuclear reactor meltdowns. Fossil Fuel. Capitalism as a system (which all of the "AI problems" are just symptoms of).
not the technology itself necessarily, but everything that surrounds it. as it is, it's mostly used as a plagiarism machine that devalues artists, and the companies behind it are committing mass copyright infringement, making electricity and hardware more expensive just so it can do that better.

I never said it would, because it won't. It's not actually high tech in that way and we all know it. I was merely highlighting the fact that "It's AI" has become such a powerful statement in the moral area that it can change people's opinions on a perfectly fine (if a bit cheesy) FONT. I find that INCREDIBLY stupid.
It's much more than the font or the look though. To me, it represents theft, environment destruction and social demise. I try to avoid spending my money where little to no thought had been put to using AI.

You can hate font plagiarizing AI without hating cancer-curing AI. The biggest lie is that those are somehow the same thing. No, your slop-making LLM isn't going to stumble upon a cancer cure. Stop wasting trillions on the slop machine and actually invest in bespoke, targeted models tuned by competent researchers.
Comic Sans isn't a bad font, it became hated because of how people were unironically using it for serious stuff I'm pretty sure

AI paint brush font is a sign of a brainless, lazy done piece of work.
How things are made has always impacted how we see the quality of an image. The end result is not what people care about it. Art has never been an objective thing and does not live in a vacuum. Any method that is lazily done becomes viewed as poor quality no matter the medium
And in this case it's extra strong with all the other effects from AI get associated with it as well. So all the job loss, pollution from diesel backup generators, higher energy usage, control of our lives from tech companies, etc.
I don't think AI made it, the software interpolated it from scraped web content. And for AI to cure cancer, it would have to scrape the notebooks of actual researchers who are about to go public.
AI probably just ripped it off an existing font, anyway.
