Speeding fines in the UK are calculated based on your income. Wilman said his yearly takehome was roughly $600,000 after taxes, so the ticket translated to a total fine of about $1400.

I wish we had that in America :(

Look at the system in use in Finland, they have no upper limit to the fine....
