Three people killed and 20 wounded as missiles and drones strike Ukrainian capital

Russia launched an intense missile and drone barrage at Kyiv overnight, killing four people, after Vladimir Putin had vowed to respond to Operation Spiderweb.

Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said on Friday that Russia had launched more than 400 drones and more than 40 missiles at the country, as he urged allies to build pressure on the Kremlin to end its war.

“If someone does not put pressure and gives the war more time to take lives, they are complicit and responsible. We need to act decisively,” Zelenskyy wrote in a post on social media.

Ukraine does a methodical surgical strike against military targets. Russia responds with chaotic attack on the civilian capital.

Life rarely gives you such clear "good vs evil" distinctions yet plenty of people refuse to accept it.

military targets that likely didn't resolve in any, or very few deaths at that.

Maybe someone was working on a plane randomly, but the runways seemed pretty empty.

I was going to note that and the fact that Russia's attack on Kyiv killed four innocent people, but I didn't have the actual casualty report of the Ukrainian operation and I didn't want to be one of those people that makes statements without being sure of the facts. So, I left it out...but yes, I think that is a fairly safe assumption.

But but but, if Ukraine would stop attacking!!

There will always be some contrived slight to be used by Putin as justification to attack again. "Oh back in 1692 A Ukrainian man didn't hold the door open for a Russian woman so, this is revenge for that too"
