Probably a tad premature, but if Mamdani wins the NYC mayorship and then actually does what he says he's going to do, I'll be willing to concede it's something of a turning point. Right now all we have is a young handsome man with personal charisma and a whole lot of great promises.
We had that same thing in 2008, and every one of those promises was broken even though that man had the power to make real change.
Also he was primarying Andrew Cuomo, who previously resigned in disgrace over a slew of sexual misconduct allegations and an impeachment. There's plenty of reasons to vote against Cuomo that are completely unrelated to Israel.
I disagree Obama tried a lot, the people around him really fought hard to prevent anything.
Still to this day they hammer bits of Obamacare apart trying to dismantle it.
If it was Obama's choice I'm sure we'd be in a great spot, in a better world it went from untethered Obama to Bernie and that would've been swell
