A couple of the KPop Demon Hunter tunes, mostly “Golden.” I liked the movie fine, including the music despite its not really being in my wheelhouse, but I’m hearing the music a lot because my kids adores it.
It’s kind of annoying because I only remember a few lines each of a couple of them so those repeated lines what has become the earworm.
Yesterday I watched it and "your idol" hasn't stop playing in my head. I'm not into kpop at all, but like to keep up with some of the popular animated movies. And it blew my mind how masterfully crafted the climax was. The choreo, the lyrics, the camera.. Even the sex appeal. a total banger! The movie overall is ok, but that villain song has some strong staying power.
Same but "Strategy" by Twice, not one of the original songs.
Could be worse. Could be the Soda Pop one.
Although one of the thoughtful little touches in the movie is that apparently the Saja Boys stuff was intentionally made to sound somewhat “soulless.”
Interesting project that could actually have some of its flaws mended by expanding into a “franchise.”
The soulless part makes sense. Soda Pop is definitely a very 1-D bubblegum tune. The big strength of these songs is how well they do fit the story but also being generic enough to be a normal song (unlike many Disney songs which you could clearly tell are part of a musical).
