YouTube is one of the worst ones for kids under 16.
In addition to that, YouTube is hands down THE worst one for small children nowadays with all the algorithm harvesting soft-porn videos allowed on YT Kids.
Um wut?
I only see wiggles, ms Rachel, danny go and a few others/knock offs
basically all educational content / class help is on youtube too
Everything is on YouTube. That's their business model. And that's the risk. If your kid has unfettered access to youtube, their algorithm will find the thing that keeps their interest and then shovel it into every feed until they fear turning it off.
seriously? if the child has half a brain cell they can learn so fucking much from yt, there's so much kid oriented interesting science/science adjacent content
Sure, or they could link into some AI generated animations of sensory fetishes. YouTube has everything their little hearts could desire, and it's goal is to keep them engaged. Even the educational content is competing with "educational" content that's been optimized for maximum engagement with minimum investment. Anything created for kids is only one or two links away from some toy unboxing or pay-to-win video game.
