It's almost like the job of a politician is to appeal to people so they will vote for them instead of staying home.

It's like telling your teacher you'll study if they gave you straight A's. Sorry to break it to you but that's how life works

That's a poor way to describe it.

If anything it's more like people saying they'll come to class if the teacher starts teaching things that are relevant, as opposed to what the school and teacher plan to ahead of time

And life works how we make it work. The systems broke (we all agree there) but it's up to individuals to do there part to make it better

It's like your teacher telling you that you can get straight A's by cheating because in the end the grade is all that matters.
